CAFTCAD Members Sweep the Outstanding Costume Design/Styling Category at the 2021 Daytime Emmys
CAFTCAD is overwhelmingly proud of the Canadian representation that we saw from the nominees of the “Outstanding Costume Designer/Styling” category at this year’s Daytime Emmys. Three out of the four nominees in the category were Canadian CAFTCAD members, giving us a 75% chance of a CAFTCAD win!
We are pleased to announce that the award was taken home by none other than CAFTCAD member and Vancouver costumer, CYNTHIA SUMMERS for her work on Netflix’s THE BABYSITTERS CLUB. Congratulations to Cynthia on another amazing win to add to your accolades!
The two other CAFTCAD members in the category were previous Daytime Emmy Winner (2013) FARNAZ KHAKI-SADIGH for her work on Netflix's THE HEALING POWER OF DUDE and previous Daytime Emmy winner (2016, 2017, 2020) CHRISTINE TOYE for her work on PBS's ODD SQUAD. You can check out some of Christine’s past work on ODD SQUAD in our Life of a Costume Exhibit by scrolling down to the “Making” section.
Congratulations ladies for the nominations and wins! What an excellent showcase of Canadian talent CAFTCAD looks to foster every day!
