From Concept to Creation Exhibit Details Unveiled

CAFTCAD is delighted to unveil the details of “From Concept to Creation: An Exhibition of Canadian Costume Art and Design” which opens on Tuesday, 4th September 2018.

The free exhibit will be open to the public from September 4th-30th 2018 at Yorkville Village and will feature costumes and artefacts from CAFTCAD members to provide insight into Canadian costume art and design.

The exhibit will be unveiled in two stages: the first on September 4th which includes over 40 costumes on display around the upper oval of Yorkville Village, the second will be in studio unit #208 which will provide more costumes, illustrations, and artefacts as well as details about their process of production. The second phase will be open to the public on September 15th.

CAFTCAD will also be holding FREE curated tours of the exhibit on the following days and times:

  • Saturday, September 8th : 11am, 12pm, 1pm

  • Saturday, September 15th: 11am, 12pm, 1pm

  • Thursday, September 20th: 2pm, 3pm

  • Saturday, September 22nd: 11am, 12pm, 1pm

  • Thursday, September 27th: 2pm, 3pm

  • Saturday, September 29th: 11am, 12pm, 1pm
