Every working relationship between a Costume Designer and their Assistant Costume Designer will differ. Experience, personality, and the specifics of each show will determine how the Designer and the Assistant will split up the work to be done. As an Assistant, your first priority is to the Designer and their creative vision for the production.

This introductory course will give an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the Assistant Costume Designer in relation to the Costume Designer and other roles within the costume department.
