Award-winning costume illustrator Terry Pitts instructs this introductory class into the art of freehand costume illustration. This 2 hour workshop will include demonstrations, terminology, and techniques that can be used in interpreting a look into a visual drawing for costuming purposes. Terry walks us through some of her best practices, perspectives, and techniques from creating a starting croquis to designing a costume look through the use of shapes, lines, movement, textures, and patterns. All of this begins with understanding the human body, its dimensions, different poses, and stylized techniques that are sometimes used in creating the human form.
