Script breakdown is the first step in prepping any show. Understanding how to dissect the script to get information on the characters is crucial to knowing what the needs of the costume department will be from concept, to budget, to shopping lists, to labour numbers.

Join us for a Manual Script Breakdown class which will look into the basics of how to manually break down a script. All participants will be walked through the process following the same prepared script during the afternoon session. Discussion will cover basic production paperwork and understanding not only the script, but also how to create a budget and plot sheets. 

During this class you will learn basic manual script breakdown which is essential as many of the apps and programs available do not always get everything right.
